About the Role

We're seeking a dynamic Intermediate Consents Planner to join our Community & District Development team at the Civic Centre.

As our Planner, you'll provide high-quality, customer-focused planning advice on a range of resource management consenting functions, including reviewing consent recommendations and providing technical support.

You will support RMA-related processes, including hearings and Environment Court proceedings, and contribute to integrated planning solutions and customer-focused service improvement projects.

You'll engage actively with the Planning Policy team to ensure integrated consenting and policy planning and deliver a customer-focused 'pre-consent lodgement' service.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • 3+ years' experience working as a consent planner in an operational council or private sector environment (land use and subdivision)
  • Statutory hearing experience
  • NZPI membership (or eligibility)
