Due to the high customer demand, we have vacancies in our kitchen.
Currently we are looking for a motivated & energetic Chinese Chef to join our busy team.
The restaurant serves Asian cuisine on a daily basis; particularly Chinese dishes.
Location :                           Manurewa, Auckland Employment type ;          Permanent Full time Working Hours :               Minimum 30 hours weekly is guaranteed and maximum 50 hours Pay :                                   $32 per hour (minimum $960 and maximum $1,600 per week) Company benefits :         Genuine opportunities for growth & development, Long term employment Description The restaurant operates from Monday to Sunday 10am-10:30pm.
As an important member of the team, this role is responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen including the supervision of cooks and assistants.
Selected candidates will work a minimum of 30 rostered hours per week including weekends and public holidays.
Duties of the Role: *            planning Asiann(Chinese) menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies *            monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation *            discussing food preparation issues with Managers and kitchen and waiting staff *            demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures *            preparing and cooking Chinese food *            explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations *            may select and train staff *            may freeze and preserve foods Requisite Competencies To fit well in the role, you will need to have; *               NZQF Diploma as a Chef OR minimum three years' work experience *              The ability to multi-task under pressure in a fast paced working environment *              Honesty, dependability and sense of responsibility *              Punctuality and excellent time management *              Self motivated with passion and willingness to learn To Apply Send your CV along with a cover letter, certified copies of qualifications and testimonials to Â
