If you have expert knowledge of an underground network, where quality world-class work is top of your list, then this is the role for you.Orion are looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator (Underground) to plan and implement audits and inspections of contracted work for newly installed underground distribution assets, this is crucial to ensure we comply with our standards and design specifications.About usPassionate, curious, and innovative are a few words that describe our people. We are community owned and working here means a career with meaning and purpose that makes a difference in your very own neighbourhood.The rolePlan and conduct audits during construction, livening and after livening of required sitesBuild strong relationships with internal and external parties including designers to resolve complex and technical mattersCommunicate non-compliance issues to the appropriate department to ensure immediate action is takenEnsure network construction service providers comply with our Network Design and Operating Standards and Technical SpecificationsProvide support to the Network Portfolio team to collect accurate information while assisting with designs and design reviewsReport on audit completion progress and provide monthly quality governance reportsAssist with emergency work situations and attend network stand overs when requiredAbout youExtensive knowledge of electrical network reticulation demonstrating an understanding of electric power distribution systems with a relevant qualification in the electrical industryKnowledge and understanding of the current safety rules and the NZ regulatory environment and how that applies to the electrical industryKnowledge of H&S in Employment Act, Transit NZ Code of Practice for Temp Traffic Mgmt, National Code of Practice for Utility Operators' Access to Transport Corridors and Local Authority BylawsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex information to various audiencesA curious and inquisitive mindset with a methodical and customer centric approach to your workWe offerYou'll find at Orion, you can come as you are and just be you.
