Our Regional Parks team manages natural and developed open space in and around Otautahi-Christchurch and Te Pataka o Rakaihautu-Banks Peninsula primarily for biodiversity conservation and recreation facilitation outcomes and they are now looking for a Regional Park Ranger - Project Manager.About the role | Ko te mahi neiAs a Regional Park Ranger, Project Manager, you will supervise a team of field staff focused on mowing and amenity maintenance.
A typical day in the life will involve a mix of field and office work.
You'll be expected to use a range of light and heavy equipment and tools so you must be comfortable with the practical elements of this role.
You'll be working within our Council systems including health and safety, financial, reporting and asset management systems.
You'll be engaging with a wide and diverse community as well as key stakeholders including special interest partnership groups and volunteers.You'll be confident in your ability to work in small teams, communicate, plan, problem solve and take action where required.
Being personable and approachable will see you easily make long standing relationships with key stakeholders and the wider community.What are you waiting for?

Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews may take place prior to the close date.
