If so, we want to hear from youAs a National Heritage Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting, leading and delivering regional heritage projects across the country.
You will take lead on significant projects, provide guidance to regional teams in project development and delivery, and oversee national project reporting to ensure consistency and excellence.The position will be focussed on:Oversee national project reporting for the National Cultural Heritage Fund, tracking progress, identifying risks, escalating to the appropriate teams and ensuring compliance with procurement, project management, and heritage policies and guidelines.Lead the planning, management and successful delivery of significant regional heritage projects.Support Ranger Project Lead Heritage staff and regional teams in their responsibilities for managing heritage projects.Build and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally to achieve project outcomes.Manage budgets, resources and timelines to ensure projects are delivered effectively.Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experienceWe are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual with:Proven significant experience in project management with a working knowledge of different methodologies such as Prince2 and PMP.Demonstrable experience in supporting others with solid information, being the go-to person when required.Excels as an expert in their field; you may have been an SME in your previous role.Excellent engagement and communication abilities with experience working with whanau, hapu and iwi.A solid understanding of heritage conservation principles, policies and best practices.Experience in managing budgets, reporting and project governance.Proficient user of MS Office and relevant project management tools.A passion for Te Papa Atawhai's kaupapa is essential, as well as an understanding of the Maori Crown relationship and the ability to apply, or willingness to learn, tikanga and te reo Maori in the workplace.Current full driver's licence.Nga ahuatanga kei a matou | What's in it for you?DOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
