The Event Planning team is responsible for leading the planning and delivery of ATOC's response to a diverse range of events and activities, which includes temporary traffic management and other transport solutions.The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahiThe key purpose of our highly valued Event Coordinator is to support ATOC's planning for a diverse range of events and activities, mitigating the impact of activities on our transport network, with an intention of improving customer outcomes at the very heart of our response.
The work is varied, and you will be responsible for a range of tasks including development of operational plans, administration, finance support, and reporting.You will have the opportunity to assist with the planning for a range of events and activities including major sporting fixtures, concerts, protests, and significant weather events.
You will work onsite at events to coordinate successful public transport operations and ensure seamless communication to customers through our ambassador and security teams.
You will be given the opportunity to gain valuable TTM qualifications to be successful in this role.
Due to the nature of this role, you must have the ability to be flexible with hours and days of work.This role is an ideal opportunity for someone starting out their career in the event industry.
While the role is primarily focused on administration for the transport and traffic management outcomes for events it has a lot of opportunity to work with event organisers and venues and make valuable connections to grow your events career.About you | Ko koe teneiTo be successful in this role you will bring:An exceptionally positive attitude and work ethic.A keenness to develop your knowledge and capability in the event planning space.Excellent administration and organisation skills.A high level of proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.An enthusiasm for process and excellent attention to detail.Good capability to learn and to master new systems easily; proficiency in PowerBI would be an advantage here.Ability to foster strong and effective relationships.An interest in TTM and public transport.View the position description here.
Appointment base salary is from $75,000 - $80,000 per annum (with KiwiSaver employer contribution of 3% on top of base salary).About us | Ko wai matouATOC is a joint venture between Auckland Transport and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi which works behind the scenes to ensure our network keeps moving and that whoever uses it has a safe and efficient journey.
Based at Smales Farm ATOC is a 24/7 operation responsible for real-time monitoring of the network for both planned and unplanned events, ensuring the right responses are made in a timely manner to deliver safe journeys for our customers.
