You will have the opportunity to assist with the planning for a range of events and activities including major sporting fixtures, concerts, protests, and significant weather events.You will work onsite at events to coordinate successful public transport operations and ensure seamless communication to customers through our ambassador and security teams.You will be given the opportunity to gain valuable TTM qualifications to be successful in this role.Due to the nature of this role, you must have the ability to be flexible with hours and days of work.
You will need to be able to work evenings, public holidays and weekends as required.This role is an ideal opportunity for someone starting out their career in the event industry.
While the role is primarily focused on administration for the transport and traffic management outcomes for events it has a lot of opportunity to work with event organisers and venues and make valuable connections to grow your events career.About you | Ko koe teneiTo be successful in this role you will bring:An exceptionally positive attitude and work ethic.A keenness to develop your knowledge and capability in the event planning space.Excellent administration and organisation skills.A high level of proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.An enthusiasm for process and excellent attention to detail.Good capability to learn and to master new systems easily, proficiency in PowerBI would be an advantage here.Ability to foster strong and effective relationships.Appointment base salary is from $75,000 - $80,000 per annum (with KiwiSaver employer contribution of 3% on top of base salary).To be considered for this position you must have a legal right to live and work in New Zealand.NZTA| Waka Kotahi is an equal opportunity employer (EOE).
