THE ROLE /TE MAHI We're seeking an enthusiastic team player to join our residential support team.
As a Residential Youth Worker, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for our Deaf students.
The residence, located in Kelston, Auckland, incorporates a residential setting for Deaf boarding students during school term time.
The residential programme focuses on independent living and life skills.
Students range from 11 to 21 years of age.
The hours of work are Thursday 10.00pm-8.30am, Friday and Saturday 10.00pm-6.30am.
Your main mission is to inspire and support our incredible students in their daily tasks and activities, fostering independence and life skills along the way.

Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, we welcome candidates with a passion for making a difference.
While experience in youth work and a knowledge of Deaf culture is a bonus, what matters most is your genuine desire to connect with and empower young people.
You will have:
Demonstrated success with at least 2 years of youth-focused work, highlighting your ability to connect and empower young individuals.A valid full driver's licence, ensuring you can respond promptly and efficiently to the needs of our students.Proven experience working with youths with various needs, showcasing your adaptability and commitment to inclusive care.While not mandatory, familiarity with the Children's Act and NZ legislation is advantageous, reflecting your dedication to upholding the highest standards in youth support.Join a dynamic team dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of Deaf students.
