As well as providing Ambulance Services, our programmes and team of over 11,000 staff and volunteers are helping to build strong, resilient communities across the motu; supporting everyone in Aotearoa to live healthier, happier and longer lives.Job DescriptionWe are looking for 2 x Permanent Fulltime Emergency Medical Assistants and/or Emergency Medical Technicians to join us on a permanent basis at Huntly Ambulance Station, within the Waikato District.
This follows a DDNN 4 x 4 roster.In this role you will:Drive the ambulance and assist with the delivery of patient care.Ensure operational readiness of vehicle and equipment.Complete other relevant administrative tasks.QualificationsKo wai koe - About you:To be successful in this role, you will have:A current St John Authority to Practice (ATP) at First Responder or EMT.Excellent operational and clinical performance to date.Excellent driving record.Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others.The ability to work under pressure as part of a team.Evidence of CCE.New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or work visa.Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tu Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui).Additional InformationMe pehea te tuku tono - How to apply:Click "I'm interested" before applications close on Sunday 16 March 2025.For further information please contact Jade McInerney, Recruitment Advisor on 095260528 Ext: 9970 or ****** for a confidential discussion.Please note: all appointments are subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks including, but not limited to physical assessment and health check.
