This position sits within our facilities team under the umbrella of the Infrastructure and Assets Group.Council owns over 300 buildings that support the various Council activities and services.
Our facilities team provide in-house facilities management services for these buildings and structures.Included in this is the management of our Corporate buildings, including the main Municipal and Caro buildings.They make sure our facilities are in great condition and managed well, so we can all do our best work on behalf of the city.
They provide maintenance forecasting, building compliance, contract management and energy management to each of the activities.Job DescriptionIn this role you will be responsible fora wide range of Facilities Services, Compliance and Supply contracts.From procurement through to contract management, you will support the wider facilities team with hands on operational management of our varied contracts.
Working closely with procurement you will ensure that all our services are procured as per Council's Procurement Policy.You will be working with a diverse range of stakeholders including our sites, internal business support units (finance, health and safety), building occupiers, tenant and contractors.Some of the key outcomes for this role include:All contracted services are compliant with the terms and conditions of the contracts.Stakeholders are engaged in the scoping of contracted services; relationships are developed and successfully maintained.Procurement of new services achieves cost savings, operational efficiencies, and improved quality.Contract financials are kept up to date including cost escalations and variations.Onboarding of new contractors has minimal operational impact.Contracts are routinely audited to ensure that Council is receiving all deliverables as stated in each contract.Non-delivery / non-performance is managed.Contractors are managed in a professional manner with no justified adverse stakeholder and or contractor feedback on performance.All contracted works or services are carried out in a manner that meets Council's safety standards.QualificationsOo puumanawa me oo wheako | Your skills and experience3+ years' experience contract procurement and management.Analytical ability and business acumen.Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders (internal and external).Ability to operate independently, anticipate requirements and monitor workload.Able to deal with ambiguity.Advanced written communication and presentation skills.Financial analysis and modelling skills.Experience working in local government preferred.Experience in managing Contracts for Services in Facilities setting preferred but not essential.Additional InformationHe aha te wariu o te utu kaimahi?
