It is accountable for ensuring the delivery of sustainable and effective frontline biosecurity clearance services at the border for imported goods, craft, mail, passengers, crew, and transitional facilities.About MPIThe Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) partners with New Zealand's food and fibre sector to be the world's most sustainable provider of high-value food and primary products.Biosecurity New Zealand is part of the Ministry for Primary Industries and is focused on stopping pests and diseases at the border before they get to New Zealand, eradicating or managing the impact of those already here.
