Job Title: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager (12-month fixed term) Location: Wellington or Auckland
We are seeking an experienced leader to lead our diversity, equity, and inclusion team for a 12-month parental leave cover.
Drive the integration, delivery, and monitoring of DEI that shapes and promotes sector-wide and internal DEI initiatives aligned to Government directives, Group strategies, and sector needs.

Why we need you You'll be joining at an opportune time with sector investment, plans, and budgets in place, leaving the primary focus on delivering the workplan and driving the ongoing integration of DEI into sector workplans and initiatives, with a particular focus on Women & Girls and Disability.
You and your team are key to supporting our people internally as they partner and support the sector, and your team also directly supports sector stakeholders as needed.
Who you are A purpose-driven, values-based leader who understands the value of DEI and can communicate that to others in a way that takes everyone on the journey.
A strategic, systems thinker, you're able to see the big picture, connect the dots, and translate into practical direction and application for your team and others across the Group, as well as stakeholders in the sector.
Your comprehensive understanding of the wider value that sport, active recreation, and play offer to society allows you to use your high influencing and collaboration skills to align DEI initiatives with sector realities.
Coupled with your DEI thought leadership, you are sought out as a respected and innovative thinker and leader.
You thrive on working with diverse groups and a specialist, experienced workforce with a variety of skillsets, expertise, and disciplines.
Along with your customer-centric, team attitude, you can adapt your approach to build strong relationships and navigate difficult situations with ease.
Your strong DEI and leadership expertise will ensure you enjoy autonomy in your role, with support from the Group Manager, People & Culture, who you report to.
The GM will also encourage you to apply your thought leadership in understanding the changing DEI landscape and how that applies to our mahi.
You'll be part of a unique P&C team, comprised of a People function (internal workforce focus) and a DEI function (external sector focus).
Your DEI team is spread around the motu and as a team of specialists with strong expertise and sector experience, they will enjoy the autonomy you give them to deliver, as well as your thought leadership and guidance when needed.
