Position Details:
FTE: 0.4 (15 hours per week) Permanent part time
Location: Based at our Manawatū campus in Palmerston North, New Zealand
Flexibility: Flexible to meet your needs and availability
Environment: Unique and rewarding with adjusted hours and patient load
Support: Paid admin time and administrative support
Collaboration: Work closely with counsellors and wellbeing advisers to enhance student health literacy, benefiting students beyond their Massey years

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver comprehensive primary care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  2. Provide clinical leadership and support to health providers
  3. Ensure services meet legal obligations and adhere to Te Whatu Ora and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
  4. Participate in health service planning, policy development, and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Registered Medical Practitioner with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  2. Experience in General Practice or Family Medicine
  3. Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving, and communication skills
  4. Knowledge of health systems and regulations
