Our service operates in many areas: the Asian Helpline, clinical interventions, public health work, Asian Wellbeing Services, COVID-19 related counselling services, research work, and moreAbout you:Are you passionate about supporting the wellbeing of children and young people? Do you have experience designing and implementing programs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Clinical Lead – Child and Youth Mental Health.As a Clinical Lead – Child and Youth Mental Health, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering our Kia Ora Ake program in primary and intermediate schools in East and South Auckland. You will work individually and as a team to deliver 1 on 1 and group support to children, young people, and whaanau. You will work closely with the Service Manager and non-clinical staff, as well as schools, workforce development agencies, Ministry of Education staff, and the wider Kia Ora Ake Providers' Network to ensure the delivery of culturally effective mental health and wellbeing support.As the successful candidate, you will have:Qualification in a relevant field such as social work, mental health, nursing, counselling, and/or addictionProfessional registration to a body such as NZ Psychological Society, Social Work Registration Board, NZ Council of Nursing, dapaanz, or NZACA passion to support the mental health of children and young peopleConfidence in engaging with people from diverse backgroundsClinical experience working with children, young people, and whaanauA full and clean driver’s licenceBilingual in English and one other Asian languageEligibility to work in New ZealandExperience developing programs for child and youth mental health is essential.Experience evaluating and implementing clinical governance initiatives is also required.This is a fixed-term role until 30 June 2026.If you are dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of children and young people, we would love to hear from you.
