We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. **Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Te Pūriri o Te Ora - Auckland’s Regional Cancer and Blood Service based at Auckland City Hospital is the leading provider of cancer care in the Auckland region, serving a large and varied population of around 1.7 million people. You will be joining a busy, dynamic and diverse team of clinical research professionals who strive to ensure that novel therapies and clinical trials are available to our patient population both here in Auckland and across Aotearoa.

Cancer and Blood Research offers people with cancer and their whānau the opportunity to participate in high quality clinical, translational and observational research, leading to improved clinical outcomes. We are looking for a Lead Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team. You will be at the cutting edge of clinical research and a key member of a team creating opportunities for patients with a diagnosis of cancer.

If you can demonstrate sound clinical research knowledge and experience, preferably in Oncology or Haematology, leadership/mentoring of a health professional team within a research environment and have the vision, drive, energy and passion for this role then we would like to meet you.

As a Lead Clinical Research Coordinator, your role will involve:

- Taking responsibility for coordination of clinical research trials in collaborations with investigators and other research team members within the Directorate.
- Ensuring trials are carried out ethically and in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) standards.
- Contributing to feasibility, set up and recruitment to clinical research trials in accordance with time and budget requirements.
- Providing leadership and mentorship while ensuring the effective day to day operation of the Research Team for ADHB with particular emphasis on staff support.
- Collaborating closely with the clinical team to support the conduct of clinical research.
- Opportunities to learn skills related to project management and quality improvement.

The role is permanent, full-time (40 hours per week), based at Te Toka Tumai Auckland City Hospital.
