Regional Nurse Practitioner Lead

Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity
The Regional Nurse Practitioner Lead plays a pivotal role in guiding and supporting the next generation of Nurse Practitioners through the NPTSS programme. Providing clinical leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight, you'll ensure each trainee and practice placement is well matched, well supported, and set up for success.
You will be the key bridge between trainees, employers, the academic providers, and the consortium—providing clinical support, expertise, leadership, and problem-solving. This includes overseeing trainee progress to ensure they meet the required standard of clinical practice to become an NP, providing access to supervision and mentoring, and ensuring quality clinical standards are maintained throughout. This support and mentoring will continue for the newly qualified NP for 6 months upon registration to help embed the role successfully into the area of practice.
Working closely with the team, you'll help ensure the programme remains culturally safe, equitable, and impactful for all participants. This is an opportunity to shape the future of advanced nursing practice while championing equitable health outcomes for Māori, Pacific, and priority populations across Aotearoa.
