Clinical Nurse Specialist - Renal Transplant at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Tai Tokerau, Northland
  • Permanent, part-time position working 36 hours per week

About the Role

The Nurse Specialist is an advanced nursing practice role and is responsible for providing the delivery of an effective Renal/Pancreas Transplant service for Northland clients. You will provide clinical expertise and leadership within the Renal Service, to ensure the effective delivery of health care services necessary for renal/pancreas transplant and immunosuppressed clients. You will also be responsible for the education, co-ordination and scheduling of potential donors and recipients.

About you

  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) and holder of a current annual practicing certificate
  • A current Expert Registered Nurse Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) Portfolio
  • Specialty knowledge and practice expertise
  • Working towards completion of master's degree or holder of, in nursing or health related area
  • Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings
