Sr. Technical Sales Consultant Ag 1 Source is looking for a Technical Sales Consultant for one of our valued clients to support and maximize high level sales and sales relationship management across the Australian market platform.
This position ideally would have a candidate based out of a home office in the hub of the livestock industry of Australia, with close proximity to a good airport and travel options.
This Sr. Level Technical Sales Consultant will work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer of the company by ensuring technical competency and aptitude of company products and the building of high value customer/client relationships as we scale sales globally, by leveraging current industry network of contacts and prospective sales channels in assigned market segments.
This key new business development person will also be responsible for controlling expenses and accounts receivable management while implementing approved sales and marketing programs.
What's in it for you: Great new growth opportunities with industry segment that will continue to expand over the next decade plus Exceptional North American presence and brand recognition with a global footprint of expansion Nimble, small sales team, with very open communication, highly success driven and supportive management, customer sales & service committed Office out of your home environment Company is very committed to its people and its customers Company has solid salary, uncapped bonus/commission and full travel budgets What you will be doing: New business sales development across the Australian market segment in support of sales volume and margin growth Potentially set up and participate in validation studies to replicate research results and to verify results with larger commercial industry opportunity platform Working with internal R&D to prepare technical reports for the sales team and customers Leveraging network and contacts to travel and meet with key decision makers within the industry Collaborate with CRO on National and Global client/customer target lists, strategy and market penetration ID, develop and coordinate Dealer and Distribution channel partners Problem solving and troubleshooting with client/customer base and company service teams for "Best in Class" service response and follow through Providing relevant market information for annual National and Global sales business plans that clearly identifies the potential revenue growth opportunities Assisting the CRO in building business plans by product and by account, which will allow for successful obtainment of assigned budget Providing timely and accurate updates through CRM program, relative to business plan weekly goals and objectives, etc.
EXTENSIVE travel - likely 50%+ to be successful (2-3 nights out per week likely) A successful candidate for the Technical Sales Representative will possess the following: BS degree in Animal Sci, Ag Business or Ag Engineering, with at least 10 years of high level B2B and B2C sales within the Livestock industry.
We would prefer equipment, pharma or nutrition sales background.
This is a Technical Sales role
PROVEN "long cycle selling" career performance is a MUST.
A unique ability to be "Boots on the Ground" in large dairy or beef operations and "in the Board Room" sales swag and savvy when needed.
High level communicator.
The ability to write routine reports and correspondence, sales project proposals, and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, at industry events or employees of client organizations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have technical knowledge of Livestock Nutrition industry, Excel spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, CRM use, etc.

Desired Location: The company would prefer Sydney or Brisbane possibly, cattle country location for relatively easy car and air travel to target industry regions and work remotely from a home office.
