Role Description/CriteriaSelection CriteriaPlease provide a written response (up to two paragraphs per criteria) to the following selection criteria:Demonstrate an ability to support, lead, and promote excellence in teaching literacy in our school.Can model best practices, and support teachers and students in literacy.Demonstrate how you will support children who are having difficulty learning to read and write.Promote student voice and engagement in all aspects of literacy.Provide opportunities for parents to be involved in and informed about the Literacy and Literacy Intervention programs.Ability to lead and support in the area of learning diversity.Ability to collaborate and enable student voice and agency.Support students in wellbeing for learning.Ability to lead PLT meetings in the area of literacy and learning diversity when required.Promotes the school's Catholic Identity.Personal QualitiesWell organised and adaptable.Possess and encourage a growth mindset.Patient, compassionate, and relationship-oriented.Strong communication and time management skills.Enthusiastic and conscientious.Approachable and collaborative.Committed to continual personal and professional growth.Professional presentation and manner.Reliable and contributes to a positive staff culture.Qualifications and TrainingRelevant tertiary degree and teaching qualifications.Hold and maintain VIT registration or satisfy the necessary criteria to gain registration before the commencement of the role.Accreditation to teach in a Catholic School or willingness to gain accreditation.Application ProcedureExperience as a literacy & learning diversity leader or a lead teacher or the ability to take on this role.
