Our team of passionate staff journey alongside individuals to support them in setting and achieving their goals.We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting people with high and complex needs to lead fulfilling lives in the community.Our services provide a safe and positive environment where our clients are assisted to achieve maximum independence.The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated, motivated and innovative registered health professional to provide clinical oversight and coordinate our passionate teams of support workers to enable them to support people who are experiencing co-existing intellectual disability and mental health issues.The main responsibilities include making clinical recommendations, risk and behaviour management, allocating daily staffing resources, staff supervision and performance management. You will also coordinate care and treatment plans with secondary services and other external stakeholders. Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise are essential. Training of support staff to increase their knowledge is also an integral part of the role.The successful candidate will be passionate about providing a meaningful and supportive environment for people in residential services to assist in gaining social, health, whanau, community and cultural reconnection.Competitive, market range salaryOngoing training and upskilling opportunitiesFive weeks' annual leaveMonday - Friday working hoursDesired Skills and ExperienceRegistered Health Professional with a current practicing certificateProven experience in mental health and intellectual disability supportDemonstrated leadership and coordination skillsAbility to develop, implement, and evaluate care plansExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in the healthcare sectorExperience in staff supervision and trainingStrong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skillsCapability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamCommitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement
