Human Resources Coordinator – Auckland Mc Connell Dowell invites a proactive and organized Human Resources Coordinator to support our major Pacific construction projects. The role is based in our Auckland Head Office and requires travel to Tonga as project needs arise. Responsibilities Provide HR administrative support to the HR team and project managers. Prepare employment offers, contracts, onboarding documentation. Assist recruitment activities: interview scheduling, reference checks, medicals, visas. Support new‑starter inductions and maintain accurate employee information in HR systems. Maintain personnel records, performance documentation, HR databases. Assist with HR events, training coordination, employee engagement initiatives. Liaise with payroll and other departments to ensure smooth HR processes. Promote Mc Connell Dowell values and high standards across all interactions. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience in HR, administration, or coordination roles. Strong communication skills in English and Tongan (written and spoken). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Confident using Microsoft Office and HR systems. Proactive, professional, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Team player with interpersonal skills and commitment to supporting others.
