This is an exciting opportunity to join the Wellington Accident and Urgent Medical Centre as the General Manager. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the medical centre located in Mount Cook Wellington.

About the role:

You will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the objectives of the company are achieved. With over 50 employed staff and more than 200 contractors, this is a busy urgent care medical centre. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage and lead the team of healthcare professionals and administrative staff
  • Oversee the implementation of all policies, procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
  • Develop and monitor budgets, manage financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth
  • Liaise with healthcare providers, insurers and other stakeholders to build and maintain strong partnerships
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive experience in a senior management role within the healthcare or medical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence
  • Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, policies and industry best practices

Open 8am to 9pm 365 days of the year, we have a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and administrators working to provide the best possible in-person healthcare available.
