We are committed to using our own energy as a force for good to achieve this ambition - keen to join us? About the roleDoes the opportunity to build something from the ground up excite you? With ZEN experiencing expansion as the rapid growth of the solar energy industry continues, the business is taking its next step in creating a permanent first-time marketing role to establish and lead a strong marketing calendar and programme that will support its strategic ambitions. As the Marketing Lead at ZEN, you will be responsible for the overall establishment of a marketing calendar, the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns, and general responsibility for all marketing channels and performance. You’ll produce content, create and manage successful brand partnerships, and deliver all communications activities with the aim of enhancing the brand’s reputation, generating sales leads and building ZEN’s profile in the industry. You will need to be capable of managing activity internally while also owning any agency relationships that do support the brand externally. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive self-starter who is determined to contribute to building a successful brand and who will not be afraid to establish best marketing practices and the ZEN marketing playbook within the business. You’ll be as comfortable with managing social and digital campaigns as you will be for setting the strategic calendar for the next 24 months. At ZEN, we believe that every team member plays a crucial role in building an amazing company that we all want to be a part of. It allows each team member to flourish and make a meaningful impact. Responsibilities include:Development and execution of the company’s marketing strategy, including short, annual and longer-term strategiesCreation of the full marketing calendar: from conception and planning through to implementation and evaluationCampaign management: the delivery of key campaigns throughout the solar calendar to support retail/trade marketing, brand partnerships, and editorial/education-based opportunitiesOverall custodianship of the brand: maintenance of brand guidelines, imagery, style guides, and tone and the implementation of these aspects of Brand both internally and externally Setting up and managing performance reporting and insights gathering – evaluating the effectiveness of various marketing and communication activitiesManagement of marketing budget and ROI Creation of content plan, including case studies, testimonials and educational editorialManagement of all communications channels, but with particular emphasis on web, digital, and social Management of any key external agency relationshipsMedia and channel support: trade shows, conferences, traditional and digital channel mix; proactive PR and media relationsRequirements:Experience: 5+ years of consumer, brand or digital marketing experience in a similar role Team Player: Someone who embodies ZEN’s organisational behaviours with ease and shows leadership  Proven Track Record: Strong understanding of brand marketing principles and great experience of effective marketing campaign management and performance Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills  - gets social, loves to create content, knows the power of a presentation and is also happy to pitch to partners Project Management: Highly effective time management and can juggle multiple projects capably Digital optimisation: A commercial marketeer that proficiently handles campaign performance and digital optimisation - proficient with CRM platforms and capable of overseeing SEO/SEM performance Self-starter: A go-getter who wants to be part of a start-up like culture and support the business through fast growth and mainstream category adoptionPurpose-led: Purpose-led individual who genuinely wants to support New Zealand’s transition to renewable energy adoption and a sustainable future Why choose ZEN?Take the chance to help ZEN transform in scale and profile as the power of solar energy is increasingly understood, and the industry continues to show substantial growthOpportunity to upweight hours over time and grow/progress within the business Flexible working arrangements - hours and location; though we have an office-first culture, we support work flexibility arrangements. Come help us bring the brand to life in our new soon-to-be office in Parnell NB: must be based in New Zealand already and have the right to work herePlease send your cover letter and resumé to careers@zenenergy.co.nz by midnight on Sunday, 29th September 2024.
