Freemans Bay, New Zealand Tradify Limited Full time

Tradify is on a mission to revolutionise how tradespeople manage their businesses and positively impact their lives. Our team consists of individuals with energy and passion who want to build something special that will transform the industry and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our customers.

If you want to be part of one of the fastest-growing technology companies in Australasia and want a job that goes beyond just designing a UI with a limited scope, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will lead the design and business analysis practice, collaborating with a team of friendly people focused on doing something world-class. You will be living and breathing Tradify's goals and culture daily.

If you thrive on user-centered design, strategic thinking and product design and development methodologies, and have a relentless pursuit of creating awesome user experiences that help people succeed, then you will fit right in.

On a typical day, you could do some of the following:

- Head out with a team member to visit a customer to understand how they are dealing with a problem we want to solve.
- Have a chat with a Business Analyst to understand their functional specification and how it documents a model being built to support a new major feature.
- Participate in a discussion about a customer problem and the process we will use to uncover a solution.
- Review engineering work and work with a developer to make sure the user experience is as awesome as you had imagined.
- Go deep into a new solution for the latest cycle, discover user needs, co-design with tradies, and help define technical specs to supply to engineers.

At Tradify, we work in Cycles, which can last for a set amount of time, usually 6 weeks. Each cycle has a dedicated team to design, develop, and test solutions that have been recommended to the business by Product Managers. You will work alongside both of these teams, ensuring the intended experience is delivered to a high standard using your awesome UX skills.

Tradify is a fast-paced, action-oriented, and sometimes unpredictable work environment, where our company values underpin everything we do. We focus on providing a fun and welcoming culture and offer a comprehensive remuneration and benefits package. We care deeply about diversity and inclusion and ensuring the tech space in Aotearoa reflects our diverse communities. If you are interested and want to know more, please get in touch.

**Requirements**:
You’re going to be a great fit for this job if you:

- 7+ years of work experience in the field with a proven track record of contributions to successful user experiences.
- Strong understanding of interactive experiences, channels, and design principles
- Proficiency in underlying interactive technologies such as web and mobile
- Solid background in collaborative software development processes with cross-functional teams
- Strong presentation and written communication skills
- Ability to document requirements and specifications
- Proven background as a creative thinker
- Proven experience as a team leader and co-creator
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to new ideas required in a diverse, fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment
