**Job Description**:
Role and Responsibilities
To work with the Community Football Co-ordinator to implement and strengthen the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme in our local area and across Auckland.
Key Performance Indicators and Duties
- Auckland City FC Values: Ensure our club values are displayed through all work undertaken for Auckland City FC
- Ensure the key tasks below are performed to the highest of standards
- Increase the number of participants and schools involved in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme (including school holiday programmes and the Auckland City FC Academy)
- Encourage and foster greater participation by youth from Maori, South Pacific, Asian and other cultures in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme (including school holiday programmes and the Auckland City FC Academy)
- Encourage and foster greater participation by girls in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme (including school holiday programmes and the Auckland City FC Academy)
Tasks
- Regularly visit schools in our local area on a weekly basis to implement the Auckland City FC Community Programme
- Conduct school holiday programmes as part of the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme
- Regularly assist and provide coaching for the Auckland City FC Academy
- Impart technical expertise to introduce participants to the basic skills of football and continue to develop these skills over the course of the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme, school holiday programmes and through the Auckland City FC Academy
- Encourage and foster physical exercise and participation in sport, especially football, as a healthy lifestyle choice for all participants in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme
- Ensure all participants involved in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme feel safe at all times and thoroughly enjoy themselves while participating in the programme (play with smiles on your faces)
- Encourage and foster the values of teamwork and sportsmanship upon all participants involved in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme
- Manage relationships with school teachers, parents and all participants involved in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme

- Strong technical ability
- A strong passion for football and a desire to impart this same feeling upon all participants involved in this programme
- Professional attitude
- Self-motivated
- Disciplined, organised with strong time-management skills
- Strong relationship management skills
- Ability to work strongly within a team environment
- Preferably multi-lingual with a cultural empathy and proven track record of working with and understanding people from the Asia & Oceania region
- Preferably have international or professional playing experience to impart this involvement and experience with participants of the programme
**Qualifications**:
- Preferably hold a minimum coaching qualification of NZ Football Junior Level 3 Coaching Licence or equivalent or be actively working towards this
Hours of Work
- Minimum of 30 hours per week
Payrate
- $29.66 / hour
