**Job Description**:
Role and Responsibilities
- To work with the General Manager to implement and strengthen the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme in our local area and across Auckland
- To supervise and manage the clubs Community Football Coaches
Key Performance Indicators and Duties
- Auckland City FC Values: Ensure our club values are displayed through all work undertaken for Auckland City FC
- Auckland City FC Methodology: Ensure the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme is delivered in alignment with the clubs prescriptive philosophy
- Ensure the key tasks below are performed to the highest of standards
- Increase the number of participants and schools involved in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme (including school holiday programmes and the Auckland City FC Academy)
- Encourage and foster greater participation by children of diverse cultures, backgrounds and ethnicities in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme (including school holiday programmes and the Auckland City FC Academy)
- Encourage and foster greater participation by girls in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme (including school holiday programmes and the Auckland City FC Academy)
Tasks
- Regularly visit schools in our local area on a weekly basis to provide oversight and supervision of the Auckland City FC Community Programme
- Assist with the development, roll-out and supervision of school holiday programmes as part of the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme
- Regularly attend and provide coaching and technical assistance to the Auckland City FC Academy
- Impart technical expertise and provide input to the framework designed to introduce participants to the basic skills of football over the course of the Auckland City FC
- Community Coaching Programme, school holiday programmes and through the Auckland City FC Academy
- Provide input to the framework designed to further enhance and develop these basic introductory skills over the course of the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme, school holiday programmes and through the Auckland City FC Academy
- Encourage and foster physical exercise and participation in sport, especially football, as a healthy lifestyle choice for all participants in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme
- Ensure all participants involved in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme feel safe at all times and thoroughly enjoy themselves while participating in the programme (play with smiles on your faces)
- Encourage and foster the values of teamwork and sportsmanship upon all participants involved in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme
- Manage relationships with school principals, teachers, parents and all participants involved in the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme
- Provide oversight and supervision to the clubs Community Football Coaches tasked with implementing the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme and provide them with the necessary assistance to ensure a successful delivery
- Work closely with the clubs General Manager and Director of Football to ensure the Auckland City FC Community Coaching Programme is successfully designed and delivered to the highest of standards
- Ensure all training and playing equipment that is the property of Auckland City FC is well maintained and tightly controlled

- Preferably multi-lingual with a cultural empathy and proven track record working with and understanding people of different backgrounds and ethnicities
- Preferably have international or professional playing experience to impart this involvement and experience with participants of the programme
**Qualifications**:
- Preferably hold a minimum coaching qualification of OFC/NZF B Licence or equivalent or be actively working towards this
- Qualifications or experience in the areas of physical education and/or sports science would also be preferable
Hours of Work
- Minimum of 30 hours per week
Payrate
- $29.66 / hour
