Manaaki Support Services is a progressive reintegration basedserviceand a leading provider of residential and community support services for vulnerable New Zealanders across the central and north of the North Island.
**The Service**
In partnership with Department of Corrections, Manaaki Support Services is working to open a brand new transitional accommodation service in Te Puke, supporting tne to reintegrate into the community and build crime free lives.
This is a very exciting and innovative project, with the service able to offer up to 12 months secure accommodation and supports for 15 tne, with options for community aftercare.
The service will align closely with the Departments Hkai Rangi strategy, and offer participants support to find employment, re-connect with whnau, develop essential life skills, support with AOD and other significant health issues, and to find long term secure accommodation.
The service will have a strong cultural component, and will support connections with local whnau, marae, hap and Iwi and other relevant community organisations, seeking to build long term sustainable support networks and to support tne to be full and active members of their community.
**The role**
We are looking for passionate Reintegration Team Kaiwhakaako/Coaches to work in this residential service, and in the local community. We are seeking a range of multi-skilled enthusiastic and energetic people to form part of a dream team in our new service.
To be successful in this role:
- Be passionate about making a real difference for tne, whnau and communities.
- Be empathetic and be able to build rapport with people from very diverse backgrounds.
- Have a range of life experience which will add value to the service
- Have a good level of computer literacy Microsoft suite
- Have the energy and commitment to make a difference in peoples lives
- Have a full drivers licence
- Have an understanding of challenges and barriers that tne in the justice system face
- Have an understanding of Te Reo Mori me na Tikanga and be able to reflect this in working with tne and whnau
- Have NZ residency/valid NZ working visa
- Be able to work in a roster, covering am & pm shifts, over 7 days a week.
- Mix of Full or part time or weekend roles available
- Permanent Nightshifts also available
As this role is working with tne in the justice system, staff will undergo drivers licence checks, Drug and Alcohol testing procedures, and criminal conviction checks.
