**He angitūtanga**: About the Role
As a Senior Advisor you will contribute to, and sometimes lead, work and/or projects to support the successful implementation of the Ōritetanga Learner Success work programme, to achieve one of the TEC's long-term strategic goals - equity of educational outcomes for all learners. The role will also focus on integrating learner success across the whole of TEC business over the next 18-24 months.

**He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for**:You will bring a mix of skills and experience**:

- Cultural awareness: You are committed to building your cultural competencies and deepening your understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Initiative: Independent and proactive, you are confident in figuring out how and what to deliver, with the ability to be autonomous in the role.
- Critical thinking and analysis skills: Comfortable with ambiguity, you explore problems to design and deliver effective and practical advice and solutions.
- Strong writing capability: You have a skill for making the complex simple and can draft content across a range of mediums from formal papers to query responses.
- Relationship skills: Service matters, you are politically savvy, collaborative by nature, and comfortable negotiating and influencing across all levels and between organisations.

We welcome experienced applicants from a range of backgrounds, which could include public policy, operational strategy, operational delivery and more. Preference will be given to people who have government (experience and have worked on equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.

The salary range for this position starts from $100,624 up to $118,381 (100%) depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
