We are looking for someone to join our public transport team to help us coordinate the various operational aspects of our public transport services. This coordination role is necessary to ensure our bus, train and on demand services provide the best experience they can for our customers across the Waikato region.

You will be someone who works well within a team, has a calm demeanour when responding to unplanned situations, and can bring their own relevant knowledge and experience to the job.

As part of the Operations Public Transport team, your role will ensure contractual requirements are monitored with proactive management, public transport assets are managed and well maintained, and the level of service delivery is reliable and the best it can be for our customers.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Experience of working within an operational public transport environment.
- 5 years’ experience in a transport operations support role or similar.

**About the role**:

- Responsibility of coordination of responses to planned and unplanned service disruptions within and outside of normal working hours in accordance with agreed procedures and processes
- Managing inventories and distribution of operational consumables such as ticketing paper, printed timetables, smart cards, and other items throughout the region
- Oversight of and maintenance of Public Transport assets including the on-bus and rail (such as ticketing devices, real-time device, information screens & WIFI) and off - bus assets (such as electronic and static signage)
- Ensuring safe and efficient operation of the Hamilton Transport Centre facility in accordance with agreed procedures and processes
- Assisting with special event planning and implementation
- General logístical support for wider public transport team and management of WRC fleet vehicles based at the Hamilton Transport Centre
- Assisting with on-road service delivery monitoring and fare revenue assurance activities from time to time
- Assisting with the management and processing of to customer feedback/complaints
- Provision of front of house customer support cover from time to time.
- Responsible for monitoring of public transport service delivery and adherence to contractual requirements
- GTFS & Tariff Testing
- Quarterly Regression testing for the Public Transport Integrated ticketing system and on occasion when critical one-off changes are required.
