**CONSULTANZ** is currently seeking an extensively experienced Cost Planning Lead to collaborate with our esteemed top-tier client based in Auckland. In the role of Cost Planning Lead, you will assume a pivotal responsibility in strategizing and implementing effective cost management measures for our projects, with a primary focus on ensuring efficient and budget-conscious project completion.
**MAIN DUTIES**:
- Develop, implement, and manage cost planning strategies for civil infrastructure projects in Auckland.
- Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, conducting cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments.
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with project teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost objectives are met.
- Generate cost reports, financial forecasts, and variance analysis for management and clients.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and implement process improvements as needed.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- A minimum of 4 years in cost planning and management for civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation software and tools.
- Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
