**The Role**:
As the key technical liaison with mission-involved customers and suppliers, this role will be responsible for facilitating communication and ensuring a smooth collaboration between all parties, providing critical technical oversight for the development of system architecture and design, as well as supporting various architecture roles and ensuring effective technical management.

Utilising your skills in project and systems engineering, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring space mission requirements meet the needs of this complex and robust programme. You'll be in charge of developing the overall concept, breaking down mission requirements, analysing systems, making critical milestone decisions, and providing support during the design and product development phase.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Act as the primary support/technical liaison with mission-involved customers and suppliers.
- Provide support/technical oversight for system architecture and design development, along with supporting architecture roles and in-depth technical management.
- Manage project scheduling and monitoring while enforce task completion.
- Ensure integration of key components into the overall system design.
- Lead non-conformance investigations and serve as the test leader for flight articles.
- Create and review system and component Qualification Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports.
- Lead program gates such as Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), etc.
- Set operational schedules and Concept of Operations (CONOPS).
- Define and review system requirements, product/sub-system specifications, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).

**Additional responsibilities**:

- Oversee the roadmap and development of critical simulation and testing tools, software, ground support equipment, etc.
- Identify gaps between requirements, design, manufacturing, operations, and facility solutions.
- Mentor and guide engineering personnel to improve technical and project skills.
- Update company-wide guidelines, systems engineering, and quality processes, ensuring staff education.
- Participate in potential customer meetings to provide engineering and product insights.
- Undertake other tasks as required from time to time.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering specialising in Project Management/Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of studies.
- Proven experience in project management, including requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation.
- Strong background in systems design/integration, and technical risk identification and management strategies.
- Familiarity with Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
- Solid understanding of industry-standard system engineering design principles with proficiency in classical and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
- Potential experience or certification in INCOSE/ENZ standards.
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
