**What you’ll be doing**:
Chorus is looking for a Commercial Manager to join the Partnerships team.

This role is based in Wellington and reports to the Senior Commercial Manager - CNO Partnerships.

The role is focused on maximising business outcomes for Chorus using your commercial expertise to consult and engage with stakeholders, suppliers and more. In this role you will develop strategies to engage with third party suppliers to obtain goods and services needed by Chorus, and then engage with suppliers to manage risk and cost throughout the life of any contract. You will be working on small to large contracts, category plans, market engagements and with suppliers from a number of industries that support Chorus. The role is delivery orientated and you will need to be a quick learner, be resourceful and inquisitive

You’ll be playing your part as a future shaper, helping to deliver outcomes across Chorus. Partnering with our stakeholders and suppliers to both reduce risk and optimise value at the same time. You’ll be an influencer, negotiator, and a change maker, trying new things to make that extra bit of difference. Building connections and creating strong relationships across the business and external market as a collaborator that can fly solo, you’ll be an expert in procurement and an out-of-the box thinker who knows how to play by the rules.

- Ability to think creatively and laterally about potential sourcing options
- Aptitude to learn quickly and assimilate complex business and technology information relevant to projects
- 3-5 years proven experience in large scale telecommunications or IT supplier partner management
- Proficient in developing and implementing right-sized market engagements
- Adept at influencing and persuading internally and externally
- Skilled in negotiating large commercial negotiations and transactions
- Experience in implementing and managing complex, multifaceted contracts
- A tertiary qualification in business, procurement, or legal area
