We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to join Auckland Council’s growing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team.

Reporting to the Lead Advisor Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, the Programme Manager will be a crucial role in delivering the vision of Auckland Council to be a significant diversity leader in Auckland and local government. You will be responsible for implementing a high-quality performance driven approach for Council’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Framework.

You will collaborate with key stakeholders about Council’s vision, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion framework, and actions to achieve diversity and inclusion outcomes for Tamaki Makaurau.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

You will have a relevant degree in a similar area and 5+ years of project management knowledge preferably with complex projects and multiple stakeholders. Building relationships both internally and externally will be at the heart of what you do as you facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.

You have a sound understanding and knowledge of diversity and inclusion issues as well as experience working with different communities and demographic groups

A high level of customer service, attention to detail, written and oral communication skills are essential in this role.

You will have the ability to prioritise effectively, identify risks and propose mitigation options while keeping the organisation’s visions and values at the forefront of staff decision making and action.
