**About the opportunity | Te whai waahi**
- As our Senior Facilities Manager, you will be tasked with the strategic oversight and enhancement of the organisation's facilities management practices. This role focuses on developing high-level strategies, business unit wide initiatives, and providing functional leadership to the facilities managers to ensure the organisation's facilities support its operational goals and strategic vision. This role is distinct from site-based facilities managers that focus on day-to-day site facilities operations.

Key accountabilities include:

- Strategic Planning:

- Formulate long-term plans for the organisation's facilities to support business objectives.
- Innovate and implement strategies to enhance facilities efficiency and sustainability.
- License to Operate & Operational Excellence:

- Ensure that all facilities operations align with corporate standards and best practices.
- Accountable for owning and managing key License to Operate responsibilities for facilities and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards, and staying informed on external and regulatory changes to maintain continuous operational compliance
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems to improve facilities management.
- Sustainability Leadership:

- Champion sustainability initiatives within facilities management.
- Set and achieve targets for energy efficiency and environmental impact reduction.
- Stakeholder Engagement:

- Collaborate with senior leadership and site-based managers to align on facilities strategies and build capability to deliver.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation regarding facilities matters.
- Vendor management for facility vendors to ensure safe, quality and efficient outcomes.

- You have extensive experience in facilities management with a strategic focus, bringing a deep understanding of infrastructure, facilities, maintenance management systems, and engineering standards. Your strong leadership skills enable you to effectively influence and guide large, diverse teams towards achieving organizational goals. You are adept at managing complex facilities operations while maintaining a strategic outlook, ensuring that all systems and standards are adhered to and optimized for efficiency and performance.

Other skills and experience include:

- Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements
- Strategic vendor management.
