We are looking for experienced clinician/s and support kaimahi to work the evening shift/s for our Kā Pou Whenua crisis after hours service. Purapura Whetu Trust are a kaupapa Māori health and wellbeing NGO and we have collaborated with He Waka Tapu, Poutini Waiora and Te Whatu Ora for this kaupapa.

You will be part of a dedicated hybrid team working across the West Coast and Canterbury regions and a valued member of the Purapura Whetū whānau. We will provide telehealth software training and support and ongoing training opportunities.

**Clinical Liaison Coordinator**

**Te Whiwhinga mahi - The opportunity**:
Kā Pou Whenua is a community crisis support service operating across the Canterbury and West Coast regions, offering after-hours telephone and messenger-based support for individuals experiencing sub-acute mental distress who are considered low to moderate risk.

As a Telehealth Clinical Liaison Coordinator, your role will involve reviewing and following up on all previous night-shift activities to ensure that whānau and call information is accurately recorded.
You will also follow up on all external referrals agreed upon by the whānau and the telehealth team, ensuring external referrals are completed and received by the appropriate agencies or central referral triage service.
**Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring**
- Fully registered under the Health Practitioner Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act 2003 e.g. nurse, psychologist, psychotherapist, occupational therapist; or registered alcohol and drug and/or gambling practitioner member of the Addiction Practitioners’ Association Aotearoa-New Zealand (dapaanz); Registered social worker or registered Counsellor with NZAC or equivalent and a minimum of 12 months experience working with whānau in crisis situations
- Recent experience working with people with mental health and addiction challenges
- Proven skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning and intervention.
- The ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with whānau and community.
- Excellent telephone manner, verbal and written communication.
- Full NZ Drivers licence with clean Police Check

**Clinical Triage Supervisor**

**Te Whiwhinga mahi - The opportunity**:
As a Telehealth Clinical Triage Supervisor, you will conduct after-hours telephone and messenger-based screenings to evaluate the mental health concerns of whānau referred to the service. Your role will involve assessing acute and sub-acute symptoms, prioritizing care responses, and making appropriate referrals to either Crisis Resolution Services or the Kā Pou Whenua after-hours telehealth support, while also performing critical follow-ups.

Additionally, you will provide clinical support and supervision to the telehealth team, who deliver one-on-one telephone or messenger-based interventions for whānau. You will ensure that each telehealth kaimahi adheres to Kā Pou Whenua's operational procedures, accurately uploads critical information into the client management system, and provides high-quality advice and support to whānau.
