This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our journey on Data Governance, realising value propositions set by the University’s first Data Strategy as **Senior Data Governance Analyst**. The role plays an essential part in advocating the importance of Data Governance across the University, from data flows and profiling to data definitions, data quality and more. The Senior Data Governance Analyst will utilise and manage our critical data elements framework to document, analyse and curate data within our data governance tool in collaboration with our wider IT and BI ecosystem teams.

The main purpose of this position is to contribute through the information/data governance team to the formation and execution of data governance framework, policy, and standards. This position has a key role in the implementation of an enterprise data governance program.

The Senior Data Governance Analyst will use our critical data elements framework to document, analyse, classify and curate data within our data governance tool in collaboration with our systems and BI and Data Science teams.

This is a fulltime (37.5 hours/week) permanent position, with a salary range $120,000- $137,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.

The Planning and Information Office (PIO) is the unit within the University that leads and coordinates strategic and operational planning. This is achieved by providing a range of information, support and advice, including strategic, tactical and operational information; monitoring and assessing the institution’s performance; coordinating the planning process and developing; data science, data governance and maintaining the University’s repositories of business information.

You will bring your strong analytical, logical, communication and time management skills to advocate, liaise and educate the essence, vision and direction of Data Governance with stakeholders.

This position requires your passion, curiosity and diligence on data, seeing its potential, lineage and value these bring to the organisation and the society.
