An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly functioning Registered Nurse to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Oncology, to join our team of passionate and caring professionals who put tūroro and whānau at the centre of their health pathway. Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti is the base hospital for a wide geographical area, extending up the East Cape of New Zealand, surrounded by beautiful coastal and rural countryside. The city has superb outdoor facilities, golden beaches, a warm climate and a vibrant local economy based on wineries, agriculture, surfing and tourism and just a quick flight away from the big cities.

The focus of the role is to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of our Oncology/Cancer service. This may involve kanohi ki te kanohi - face to face, and the use of digi hauora - telehealth to improve the health pathway for all of our community and eliminate inequity. This is a great opportunity for someone with proven communication skills, can do attitude and a great sense of humour.
