The ideal applicant will possess some of the following attributes:

- Proven keyboard skills demonstrating speed and accuracy with ability to proof-read and self-correct.
- Previous experience with clinical typing is desirable.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Customer focused with excellent customer service skills
- A knowledge of the Privacy Act, and the Health Information Privacy Code
- An understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and cultural awareness
- Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Time management and organisation skills, with an ability to effectively prioritise work ensuring attention to detail.
