**Mō te roopu | About the team**

Enterprise Design & Integrity Testing ensures IR has fit-for-purpose quality assurance solutions across the organisation, establishing testing practices focussed on business and customer outcomes. The Testing Strategy and Practice team provides Test Strategy, Governance, Reporting and Capability, alongside maintaining strategic relationships with IR’s external testing and delivery partners.

Testing at Inland Revenue is business and customer focused. We engage with customers in testing of customer facing services. Business users across IR are engaged in functional testing and we have technical focus on modern practices of test automation running daily and on demand. We have automated tests validating the integrity of Customer APIs, Child Support formula, Enterprise support systems and Contact Centre. Test technology also supports self-service testing for business partners integrating to IR’s APIs. Performance testing capability assures performance of IR technology during business peaks

**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

As the Test Practice and Service Manager you will have focus on test management, strategy, and services management.

You will be responsible for enterprise level test strategy that sets the strategic direction of testing, maintaining a consistent approach to testing across a large and complex organisation that has a range of big and small change initiatives underway at any point in time.

You will also be managing outsource services in the testing context and will be across the quality of delivery across Inland Revenues multiple outsource service relationships.

**Testing Practice**
- Support delivery programmes with strategic direction and leadership.
- Lead, coach and develop testing and quality assurance through influence based on their own and testing partner expert knowledge of testing and evolving trends.
- Support determination the level of capability required internally to support the test delivery plan alongside business and testing partner.
- Ensure compliance with organisational controls and standards in test delivery and protect IR’s integrity.

**Service Management**
- Engage with and develop strategic partnership with IR’s testing partner. This will include working closely with IR’s commercial teams to ensure there is mutual benefit being derived from the relationship.
- Work collaboratively with Inland Revenue Initiative delivery managers and internal and external delivery partners to service the delivery plan.
- Manage, monitor, and ensure the performance of multiple delivery partners to deliver integrated services that support improved customer experience.
