The Strategy & Transformation Group is responsible for leading the programme of work which sets the future direction of the organisation. The Group helps articulate Police’s shared vision and long-term outcomes and ensures a line of sight between decision making, resource allocation and delivering on this vision.
To support the delivery of these outcomes, the Manager Enterprise Change will establish, run and embed the Enterprise Change Management Office. This office will be responsible for assessing and enabling the realisation of change (from project and BAU initiatives) across the enterprise-wide integrated roadmap.
The role ensures the organisation has what is needed to inform, guide and govern change initiatives effectively, and ensures the organisation is ready, willing, and able to implement change.
The Manager Enterprise Change will also be responsible for all Change specialists across the organisation, including project delivery staff as well as setting up new District Change Lead roles. Through ownership of the Change Management Community of Practice, they will proactively develop capability, as well as being the primary contact for all Change Management service provision requirements.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Lead, influence and direct how NZ Police designs, matures, and monitors the Enterprise Change capability and competency across the organisation.
- Lead the NZ Police Enterprise Change Management Office to ensure the organisation has what is needed to inform, guide and govern change initiatives effectively.
- Plan and prioritise team responsibilities and day-to-day deliverables.

**To be successful in this role, you will require the following**:
- Change Management expertise with significant experience in providing Change Management advisory services in large organisations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation and an ability to build and maintain strategic relationships.
- Proven ability to think strategically and influence effectively at an enterprise level and support executive leaders in making the right decisions for the organisation to enable business change outcomes.
- Prior experience in successfully establishing Change Management practices and processes as well as building internal Change Management capability.
- Understanding of business systems in large organisations to support informed decision-making in a ‘strategy-led’ environment.
- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to develop sound solutions in complex and ambiguous situations.
- Demonstrated self-starter, with a high level of initiative and ability to be self-managing and achievement oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality presentations and effective communications to a range of stakeholders, including representing an organisation in a range of settings.
This role is set at Strategic Leader level, this means your key purpose is “to lead the strategy, Our Business, and enable our people to deliver it”.
