**The Role | Te Mahi**

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced **Food & Beverage Services Manager** to manage Acheron, our restaurant and bar at Sudima Christchurch Airport.

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on leader who is passionate about encouraging and supporting their team to provide flawless service to guests and to flourish within their careers at Sudima.
You will possess an extensive beverage knowledge, an appetite for exceeding diners' expectations and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

**Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa**
- Management and leadership of the hotel food & beverage service outlets - including the restaurant, bar, minibar, room service and conference food & beverage service.
- Leading the Food and Beverage team, driving a positive team environment
- Committed to continuing professional development
- Coordinating with the conference team to manage events held at the hotel
- Ensure all team members deliver a high level of service at all times
- Ensuring highest possible standard of hygiene
- Creating and maintaining relationships across different departments to ensure a smooth hotel operation
- Be pro-active in controlling costs, tracking forecasted business and targeted profitability whilst maintaining standards
- Purchasing of products used within the restaurant and bar, maintaining stock levels
- Comply with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and amendments, Smoke Free Environments Act 1990 - New Zealand Legislation
- Ensure all staff are aware of their obligations pursuant to the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

**Requirements**:
**About You | Ko Koe Tēnei**
- 3-5 years experience in food and beverage service across restaurants and bars
- Event management exposure
- Approachable leader and a team player
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to prioritise, work to deadlines and remain composed under pressure
- A solid understanding of managing costs
- Understanding of current restaurant and beverage trends
- Current General Managers Certificate
- Valid Right to Work in NZ
