The University Marketing team helps with the recruitment of new students to the University, especially from our key target areas through advertising, marketing, research and events. We liaise with the University's advertising and research agencies in the implementation of advertising campaigns and gaining key insights into our target audiences.

We also provide guidelines for the presentation of the University of Auckland brand, as well as assistance with writing and design of collateral. Our services include content editing for print and online, project and event management, advertising and promotions, social media, as well as a graphic design studio.

**The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi**

This newly created role - _Te Ūnga Kairuruku, Schools and Community Recruitment Adviser_, will be a key team member to implement recruitment initiatives for the school leaver market. You will be responsible for delivering mana-enhancing and inspiring activities for Years 13 secondary school students and maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities for students to engage with Waipapa Taumata Rau.

You will recruit new students into the university, through targeted events and will work with designated faculties in their portfolio of programmes as a relationship manager, ensuring that Faculties needs are being communicated and met by the Schools and Community Engagement function. This is a great opportunity for an experienced student adviser to specialise in a portfolio of programmes and industries.

This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), permanent position
Remuneration: $67,000 - $70,000 dependent on experience

- A tertiary level qualification or equivalent experience
- Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience of working with and understanding the needs of a diverse range of clients.
- Highly skilled communicator and presenter.
- Proficient computer literacy abilities and experience in delivering digital tools and resources.
- An understanding of the NZ secondary school system
- Have in-depth understanding of the tertiary environment especially in relation to the student experience.
- Demonstrable understanding, competence and confidence of te ao Māori
- Kia Whakamana i te Tangata - acknowledging, maintaining and restoring the mana and tapu of individuals, whānau and communities.
- Agile experience, or an understanding of cross-function team ways of working in an agile environment.
- Ability to work with complex data
- Flexibility to support after hour events and ability to travel independently.
