**Te** **kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

Our Taupo Transport & Infrastructure team are looking for an experienced Senior Renewals Manager join the team. This is a key leadership role focused on developing and implementing strategies to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of all renewal, capital and improvement works into the CWNOC contract with Downer New Zealand and Waka Kotahi

As a Senior Renewals Manager, you will manage a team of renewals managers and you will be integral in managing the annualised renewals programmes over a three year funding period from end to end. This involves ensuring the creation of Tracking sheets and Programmes for activities including Design, Investigation, Testing, Sampling, securing resources, subcontractor agreements, working with various parties both internally and externally to ensure renewals work programmes are issued and communicated, planning strategies and operations, overseeing resource is available and to direct the operational team to ensure that work is completed to the required quality are met. This also includes creation of Schedules of Prices, forecasting and budget examinations against available funding for submission to client for approval.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**

As a Senior Renewals Manager, a formal tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management qualification (e.g. BE, NZCE) or 5+ years project management/engineering experience is preferable but not essential. You’ll also bring with you;
- People Management and Leadership Skills as the Senior Renewals Manager you will manage a team of Project/Renewals Managers.
- The ability to communicate verbally and written effectively and build, maintain and grow relationships at all levels
- Experience in pavement design, asphalt and chipseal delivery and construction is also advantageous
- Experience in managing long and short term contracts whist meeting deadlines
- Experience with complying within Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies
- Understanding of financial and accounting processes, to include preparation of progress and claim reports and producing and interpreting monthly financial reports to P&L level and ensuring correct TCE’s are developed
- Proficient in computer literacy including experience in using estimating & data collection software
- Ability to work autonomously
