**Te** **kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

Downer are proudly supporting a range of exciting maintenance projects across the Central Plateau. The Downer Transport division is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work across the country. We are looking for an experienced or up-and-coming Maintenance Supervisor to assist the CWNOC Operations Manager with maintenance, traffic management and renewal works across the region.

You’ll be someone who can lead the frontline and be responsible for ensuring that a positive, Zero Harm culture is maintained. You will also make sure key customer and stakeholder relationships are nurtured, whilst creating a collaborative and "best for network" environment across your projects.
- Optimization of resource use (including staff and plant management)
- Arrange, direct and monitor activities of crew and subcontractors to ensure their work meets project objectives and requirements.
- Advise and assist with programming of plant repairs and maintenance.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of supervising teams and subcontractors in a range of maintenance activities. You’ll be a proactive go getter who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and work with your crew to complete daily tasks. You’ll also:

- Be knowledgeable in pavement construction and maintenance activities
- Hold a relevant infrastructure qualification or be working toward one (desirable)
- Have the ability to drive projects, manage relationships and activity to achieve targets
- Be able to deal with unexpected events/make decisions and provide direction to work teams.
- Must be self-motivated, energetic, proactive, and results-orientated with an ability to problem solve, plan, listen and make decisions.
