ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Optimisation Operations Manager role is a combined team leadership and optimization business analyst role. As such they will be responsible for:

- Team Leadership: planning and managing the prioritization and trade offs of tasks required to be delivered by the Optimization Operations team, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time, ensuring that results are presented in a way that maximises customer value from our optimization services, and ensuring satisfaction that builds recurrent service.
- Optimization Business Analysis: supporting the sales, implementation, and ongoing successful operation of a variety of optimisation products with existing and new clients. This will involve both external client facing and internal product related aspects of optimisation execution and analyst work.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Management of team tasks, prioritization and on time task delivery
- Escalation of duration / resourcing conflicts in relation to task delivery
- Providing experience and knowledge into strategic and conceptual optimisation direction.
- Mentoring and upskilling of team members in optimisation result investigation and analysis.
- Demonstrate product functionality to internal and external users
- Evaluate configuration changes to support business processes
- Detailed and accurate investigation and analysis of optimisation results (benchmark and operational)
- Proactively identifying areas for improvement in relation to:

- Client optimisation configuration and business process
- Product and optimisation functionality
- Maintain clear and regular communication with relevant CMS individuals
- Completion of deliverables within agreed upon timeframes
- Deliver a high level of optimisation support to a global customer base

ABOUT YOU:
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of previous experience with Pairing and Roster / PBS Optimisation systems within the Crew Planning area of airline operations
- 5+ years employment within the Crew Planning area across 1 or more airlines
- 5+ years team leadership experience

Desired Qualifications / Experience
- Relevant computer science or the equivalent bachelor’s degree
- Technical business analyst work experience an advantage
- Knowledge of software development / structure and design processes
- Experience with the optimisation needs of difference size / complexity of airlines in different geographical markets would be advantageous

- Strong problem solving skills and ability to analyse cause and effect in relation to automated output.
- Eager and proactive in learning new skills and experience.
- Confidence, respect and professionalism when dealing with internal and external customers.
- Level of flexibility while working in a dynamic, collaborative environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
