We are searching for an experienced and proactive Site Operations Manager for this large global food company. The company is based in South Auckland and are looking for a strong leader to run the production site and operations on an initial three to six month contract starting ASAP.

The successful applicant will need to be a proven people leader, who is ambitious and wanting to help drive the growth of the company and implement effective systems and structure with a process improvement mentality. Leading from the front, the successful applicant will ideally have good knowledge and experience of food and production management and be able to drive improvements and build the capability of the teams under them.

Some key responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day production operations to ensure optimal efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Work closely with the team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in our processes and procedures.
- Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Ensure all products are produced in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage and train production staff to ensure that they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure a smooth production process from start to finish.

The company has a great company culture, and you will be reporting into a fantastic head of Australia and New Zealand, who is very supportive, but equally looking for this person to be autonomous and drive results. You will be responsible for leading a small team and a site of around 90 employees.
