**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
Joining our Data & Digital team, you will be a member of our National Digital Services Capabilities leadership team who share the collective accountability for maintaining and enhancing technology services, as well as implementing and supporting Te Whatu Ora priorities. You will work closely with the other members of the capabilities leadership team and also across the wider group to ensure that the capability area you lead meets the needs of the organisation.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the people, processes, and technology associated with the Planning and Support capability are fit for purpose, easily consumed, and meet the needs of practice consumers across Data & Digital and the wider organisation. You will operate at the practice leadership and people leadership level to ensure that the planning, reporting and support capability is well understood, easily accessible, fit for purpose, and delivering value.
Operating in a matrix delivery model, you will lead team members in the practice to ensure planning, reporting and support commitments for National Digital Services are delivered to the agreed standard. This includes ensuring that the team has the necessary skills and resources to deliver successfully, as well as ensuring that the team's processes and technology are aligned with the needs of the organisation.
**Mōu | About you**
As an experienced Planning and Support leader, you will have a strong understanding of the technology delivery landscape and be able to bring new ideas and best practices to the team. You will have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team of professionals, build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and bring along your strong communication and problem-solving skills. The role blends people leadership with practice leadership and you'll be someone who can turn theory into practice and show creativity when solving problems.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**:
- Experience in a similar role in a large and complex organisation
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills
- Experience in a leadership role including working with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in a relevant leadership role with a working understanding of ICT management including working with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage teams in an environment of change, financial prudence and an increasing level of digital maturity across the organisation
- Strong administrative skills such as managing costs, resources and workflows across a large delivery portfolio.
- Proven relationship building skills and well-developed communication skills.
- Proven ability in managing suppliers and vendors.
- Strong financial reporting and management of operational budgets
- Demonstrated intuition and the ability to balance good process with the need to make clear decisions in demanding situations such as. priority service outages.
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes and manage competing priorities while remaining resilient under pressure.
Previous work experience in the Health Sector or Government would be desirable for success in this role.
