The skilled and experienced Board has a clear and focused strategy with the vision to Win for Our People. There are significant strategic aspirations and deliverables that they are intent on achieving, and are well supported by a high performing management team.

The Board is seeking to complement its existing skill set, and to add value to its overall governance capability, especially in the technical area of AI/Analytics - data science and innovative commercial product development using data insights.

To be considered for this role, it is important that you have:

- Strong digital, data and commercialisation skills, including working with IP
- A well founded background in innovative and strategic thinking
- Time to invest in adding significant value to the Board and the Club

Experience and knowledge of the following, at a strategic level, would be a significant advantage and highly desirable:

- Women’s high performance sport
- Māori and Pasifika culture
- Global sports commercialisation
- Financial acumen

The Chiefs Rugby Club are strongly committed to inclusivity and diversity of thought.

The Board meet approximately 10 times a year for 3 - 4 hours per meeting in Hamilton. Attendance at Gallagher Chiefs and the Waitomo Chiefs Manawa home games for hosting is expected. This is a paid role.
