We’re currently seeking an experienced Produce Assistant Manager to join the team. As a department leader, you’ll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our community.

**The Role**:

- Report into the Produce Manager, helping to ensure department targets and operational delivery standards are met or exceeded.
- Assist with ordering and buying for the Produce department, making sure range matches the format and customer requirements.
- Ensure the department is full, fresh and appealing throughout the hours of trade and that stock levels are controlled appropriately.
- Deputise for the Produce Manager as required.
- Ensure staff are well trained and motivated to provide the best shopping experience for our customers.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Has a passion for fresh produce and a good eye for quality and presentation.
- Previous experience in a produce department.
- Solid understanding of managing department financials and budgets.
- Is computer literate and keen to learn and use the latest technology.
- Has great people skills and the ability to lead a team of 12.
- Has proven customer service experience.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting.
- Forklift license advantageous.
