**The role**
As a Resource and Compliance Manager, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the effective management of learning pathways for both office and field-based staff in the customer and capital works teams within our Auckland Contracting business. You will work closely with individual staff identifying their competency gaps, training needs, and coaching/mentoring required to support their current performance, future career plans and growth.
- You will also coordinate the administrative tasks required to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory, Network owner and Northpower business needs. You will be liaising with respective managers, project managers, supervisors, contracting team, training coordinator and the people and capability team to support management in delivering career pathway initiatives.
- You’ll report to the Delivery Manager
- Customer and Capital and will be a part of an amazing team who are committed to creating a supportive work environment where collaboration is highly valued. You will also need to deliver on the following:

- Ensure staff Work Type Competencies (WTC) are current and assist managers with observations and validations of the e-modules in Cornerstone ( L & D platform)- Assist staff with management of their Work Type Competencies (WTC) and coach them in completing modules successfully
- Generate reports and monitor that all waged staff timesheets are completed and approved in accordance with payroll requirements
- Assist staff to gain/refresh compliance, monitor regularly that the tools and equipment staff use are tested and up-to-date, conduct frequent vehicle audits and manage the maintenance and booking of key plant and equipment
- Carry out HSQE audits for compliance in the field to regulatory and customer standards
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive induction presentation specific to each department within the Capital team to ensure that staff are well informed on business, operational, project related work and key tasks/information relevant to their specific role
- Use problem solving skills to implement appropriate solutions effectively and quickly

**About you**
You will ideally be from a teaching, learning or career advisory background who can demonstrate resilience, patience, a passion for coaching and the ability to work both independently and as part of a large diverse team.

Knowledge and experience with SharePoint, learning management systems administration, and training coordination with an understanding of the Electrical industry and management against compliance regulations/standards will be highly advantageous. You’ll also need to have the ability to organise and plan your own workload while delivering positive outcomes for our staff without compromising health and safety. We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate the following:
- Hold a teaching qualification ( preferred not essential)
- Understanding of electrical network Work Type Competencies ( Preferred but not essential)
- Full Clean Driver’s Licence ( essential)
- 4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Exceptional communication skills ( written, verbal, listening & presentation)
- Proven ability to develop learning plans and mentor on career pathways
- Ability to maintain integrity and strong collaborative relationships in a multi-cultural environment
- Proficiency in MS office Suite and enthusiasm to learn new systems quickly
- Influencing and motivating skills to promote a learning culture whilst building and maintaining trust in working relationships
- Tenacity in taking problems through to successful outcomes despite potential barriers
- Robust numerical skills, accuracy and attention to detail to generate reports and manage timesheets
- Experience working with field and office-based staff in the power, construction, and infrastructure industries is advantageous
